Don’t miss the 14th annual Riverfront Times Music Showcase, celebrating the St. Louis music community with 100 local bands performing across more than ten venues in the Grove neighborhood.
Each year, we at Riverfront Times recognize the hard work and exceptional talent of local musicians with the RFT Music Awards.
Nominees are chosen by a panel of venue owners/employees, promoters/talent buyers, record store staff, dedicated diehards and other musical minds from organizations all over the city — and then the winners are picked by you, the readers. The results of the poll are revealed in the June 24 issue of the magazine.
About Riverfront Times
The Riverfront Times was founded in 1977 as St. Louis’s alternative newsweekly. Each week, readers turn to the RFT for award-winning journalism, powerful investigative reporting, news and commentary on local politics, and the most comprehensive arts and entertainment coverage in the St. Louis area.
150 acts across the greater St. Louis region are up for an RFT Music Award, and that’s where you come in. Let your voice be heard! Fill out your ballot before June 22. Only one vote per person, please. Then plan to come see a host of these bands on June 20 at the Music Showcase in the Grove.
Congratulations, and good luck to all who are nominated.
Stayed tuned for the official 2015 lineup!
In 2014, the RFT Music Showcase was full of firsts — first time in the Grove neighborhood, first time that a record-setting 88+ bands performed, first time that a downpour and multiple tornado warnings threatened to halt the event. The sun and good tunes prevailed, though, and thousands of St. Louis music lovers got down to performances by Black Panties, Nato Caliph, Middle Class Fashion, Last to Show First to Go and many more.
Here are just a few of many participating venues in the Grove neighborhood. Check back soon for a full list!
We appreciate the fine supporters of the RFT Music Showcase, and are currently accepting additional sponsors. For sponsorship inquiries, email Cassandra at email@example.com.
